Sir Richard Branson is best known for his Virgin brand consisting of more than 360 companies. This initially began as an audio record mail order business in 1970 and expanded in 1972 to Virgin Records. This later became known as Virgin Megastores. In the 1980s he set up Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Richard Branson is said to be the 261st richest person in the world according to Forbes' 2009 list of billionaires. He has an estimated net worth in the region of 1.5 billion.

Philip Green is the Third entrant on this list of Famous Entrepreneurs

Sir Philip Green famous entrepreneur and owner of the Arcadia Group and roughly 2300 shops in the UK clothing retail sector. He is reported to be Britain's ninth richest person and his assets are believed to total around 4.43bn.

He is due to become a shareholder in Simon Cowell's Syco label with Sony.

JK Rowling is the well known author of the Harry Potter series of books. They have been a world wide phenomenon and has won multiple awards, sold more than four hundred million copies and has been turned into one of the most successful series of films.

Scottish entrepreneur best selling author and star of BBC show Dragons Den, Duncan Bannatyne is known for his business interests which include Health Clubs and Hotels, Media, Stage Schools, TV, Transport and Property. His net worth is thought to be 320 million.
